This beautiful, architecturally-designed house nestled in leafy Fig Tree Pocket in Brisbane's western suburbs was built to catch all the sunshine and breeze whilst bringing the landscaped gardens in with unobstructed views.
The house features a combination of louvre walls, bi-fold doors and windows, sliding, stacking sliders, central opening sliders, hinged and french-opening doors. This unique home required a creative screening solution.
The expansive bi-fold doors opening onto the outdoor entertainment area appear to be screenless, but don't be fooled, our premium Freedom retractable screens are virtually invisible, the perfect screen solution for embracing the indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
Being such a large, open-plan home security was a serious concern. The owners didn't want to have to close one side of the house when they were in the pool or cinema room.

FORCEFIELD - SUBURBAN OASIS
During construction of our new build in Fig Tree Pocket, we decided to contact various security companies to ensure every door and window in our new house was secure. Our home is a high-end product surrounded by parkland areas, so we were concerned about having good active and passive security features.
Having done my research beforehand, I decided upon the Prowler Proof product — it was as good as or better than anything else I could find in a very crowded market, with sound warranty terms, good customer feedback and aesthetically pleasing designs.
To suit our house, we opted for the ForceField product.
Stephen Chalmers from Chalmers Security Installations was the successful tenderer and we were very impressed by his professionalism — particularly when our schedule got interrupted by builder delays.
Stephen went with the flow and was very customer-focused. Jennifer, who runs the office, was very approachable and kept us informed as the process was a lengthy one.
Our house is a long, single-storey design with numerous sliding doors and louvre windows. CSI got the many screens right the first time and we couldn't be happier with the end result - the screens are unobtrusive yet the quality of their construction and installation is obvious.
