OPEN UP WITHOUT INVITING THE INSECTS IN

Chalmers Security Installations supplies and installs Freedom Retractable Screens, custom-made screening solutions designed for modern Australian homes. When you want insect protection, the screen glides smoothly across the opening. When you don’t, it retracts neatly away to preserve the open appearance, airflow and connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

LARGE DOORS & ARCHITECTURAL OPENINGS

Retractable screens are particularly useful where a conventional fixed screen would interrupt the look or function of a large opening.

Freedom systems can accommodate sliding and stacking doors, French and bi-fold doors, pillar-less corners and expansive openings, with selected configurations spanning up to 13 metres across a double-screen installation.

ALFRESCO & OUTDOOR LIVING

A screened patio or alfresco area can help you make better use of your outdoor living space throughout the year. Retractable and motorised screen systems can provide insect protection while still allowing ventilation and outdoor views. Selected systems can also provide additional protection from glare, wind, sun and changing weather conditions.

CUSTOM MADE

Each screen is manufactured to suit the dimensions and configuration of the opening rather than adapted from a standard-size product.

RETRACTS OUT OF SIGHT

The mesh stores neatly within its housing when not required, helping preserve views and the open appearance of doors and windows.

RETAINED MESH TECH

Selected Freedom systems retain the mesh within the track, helping prevent the screen from pulling or blowing free during normal use and windy conditions.

SMOOTH OPERATION

Freedom's braking and operating systems are designed to make large retractable screens easy to open, position and close.

When the screen isn’t required, it retracts neatly away rather than becoming a permanent visual barrier.

MESH OPTIONS

Different mesh options are available depending on the application, including standard insect mesh, finer midge protection and more durable mesh suited to homes with pets or high-traffic areas.

COLOUR OPTIONS

Selected systems can be powder coated to coordinate with existing window and door frames for a more integrated architectural finish.

BUILT FOR LONG-TERM USE

Freedom screens are designed to be serviceable, with replaceable mesh options available on selected systems if accidental damage occurs.

5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Selected Freedom Retractable Screen systems are supported by a five-year limited manufacturer's warranty, subject to the applicable product and mesh conditions.

BUILT FOR AUSTRALIAN HOMES

Freedom Retractable Screens are Australian made and custom manufactured to suit individual openings. The range combines discreet housings, retained mesh systems and smooth operating mechanisms with multiple mesh and configuration options, allowing the screen to be tailored to the way the space is actually used. Freedom offers several retractable screening systems designed for different types and sizes of openings.

DESIGNED TO DISAPPEAR

The appeal of a retractable screen isn't simply that it keeps insects out. It's that the screen doesn't need to dominate the opening. For Brisbane homes with large glass doors, outdoor entertaining spaces and architectural openings, that means you can enjoy ventilation and insect protection when you need it, then retract the screen and return the space to its open configuration when you don't. Chalmers Security Installations can assess your opening, discuss how you use the space and recommend the Freedom Retractable Screen system best suited to your home.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chalmers Security Installations supplied and installed a Prowler Proof external screen to a spare bedroom sash-style window that had not been able to be opened due to its 3rd level location with nothing underneath. CSI also supplied and installed a Prowler Proof hinged screen to the twin window in that room that does have an accessible roof. The complication for the most recent screen was needing to align with a major building repaint when scaffolding would be available. Stephen and Jennifer were extremely accommodating and patient and had the screen ready and able to get Chris (installer) to fit within a small time gap. I should add this was a minor piece of work from their perspective and they were responsive and flexible to get the job done. The increase in air flow is very noticeable and I don't have to worry about birds and other wildlife visiting that way.

The price was great, they were efficient courteous, responsive and kept me informed at every stage of the process, with a fast turn around (just over 1 week from placing the order to installation).
Installation was quick and seamless, respect and care was taken of my home. They arrived on time and the window looks amazing. A BIG thank you to the Owner, admin team and installers. Its an 11 out of 10 from me. I highly recommend this Company and will use again in the future.
