At Chalmers Security Installations, we supply and install the full range of Prowler Proof security doors and window screens, helping you find the right solution for your home.

Based in Brisbane’s western suburbs, Chalmers Security Installations supplies and installs the complete Prowler Proof range across Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich, with solutions for home security, insect protection, fall prevention and a wide variety of door and window applications.

As a Prowler Proof Authorised Dealer, CSI can help you choose a screening solution suited to your property, from ForceField® stainless steel mesh and Protec perforated aluminium security screens through to Guardian fall-prevention screens, Diamond grilles, insect screens and Heritage designs. Prowler Proof screens are custom manufactured for each opening and feature the brand’s distinctive fully welded construction, creating clean, seamless corners without the visible screws and rivets found in many conventional screen frames. With an extensive range of powder coat colours available, your screens can also be selected to complement your existing doors, windows and exterior finishes.

Prowler Proof security screens

Security doors and window screens must satisfy the relevant Australian Standards for classification, installation and methods of test. These assessments examine how a screen responds to impact, levering, pulling, probing and cutting attempts. Chalmers Security Installations can help homeowners across Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich compare the following tested Prowler Proof security screen options.

ForceField

ForceField combines a welded aluminium frame with fine 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh. It achieves Security Level 200, providing premium security while preserving airflow and outward visibility.

Protec

Protec uses a thermally treated sheet of perforated aluminium within a welded frame. It achieves Security Level 200 and offers robust, contemporary protection in an all-aluminium design.

Cyclone-tested security screening

Cyclone and hurricane testing subjects a screen to severe wind pressure and debris-impact conditions that go beyond ordinary security testing. ForceField is the Prowler Proof range identified for cyclone applications, making it the option to explore where extreme weather performance forms part of the project requirements.

ForceField

ForceField has undergone structural wind-action, debris-impact and pressure-cycle testing. Its welded construction and bonded 316 stainless steel mesh make it the Prowler Proof choice for specified cyclone-screening applications.

Screens for fire-conscious homes

The correct screen depends on the property, opening and applicable fire requirements. ForceField offers specialised fire-attenuation options for eligible window openings, while ForceField, Protec and Guardian can be considered for specified bushfire-prone applications. Product selection and installation must always be matched to the project's assessed requirements.

ForceField

ForceField combines corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel mesh with a welded aluminium frame. Selected ForceField configurations support bushfire applications, with specialised fire-attenuation screens available for eligible windows.

Screening for solar heat and UV light

Security screens support ventilation, but the infill can also influence solar heat gain, UV exposure and heat loss through an opening. ForceField and Protec have undergone energy and UV-related testing, giving Brisbane homeowners two screened options to consider when comfort, airflow and sun exposure all matter.

ForceField

ForceField's fine stainless steel mesh has undergone WERS and solar-light testing. It helps reduce solar heat gain and UV entering through screened openings while still allowing fresh air and clear outward views.

Protec

Protec's perforated aluminium sheet has undergone energy and UV testing. Its carefully designed hole pattern balances airflow, light and screening for doors and windows exposed to Queensland sun.

Corrosion-tested screen construction

Humidity, weather exposure and environmental conditions can all affect the long-term performance of door and window screens. Material selection, powder coating and regular care are therefore important wherever screens are installed. Every Prowler Proof range below has undergone extended corrosion testing, providing durable options for security, fall prevention, insect protection and decorative screening.

ForceField

ForceField mechanically and chemically bonds its 316 stainless steel mesh to the aluminium frame, helping isolate the dissimilar metals. The completed screen has passed extended corrosion testing for demanding environments.

Learn more about ForceField

Protec

Protec's frame and perforated infill are both aluminium, avoiding the interaction of different metals within the screen. Its durable powder-coated construction has passed extended corrosion testing.

Learn more about Protec

Guardian

Guardian uses 304 architectural-grade stainless steel mesh within a fully welded, powder-coated aluminium frame. It has undergone extended corrosion testing for durable use on elevated windows.

Fall prevention for elevated windows

The National Construction Code requires certain elevated window openings to be restricted or protected by a compliant screen. Correctly specified fall prevention window screens can allow greater ventilation than a restricted opening while helping protect children and other occupants. ForceField

ForceField can combine premium security and fall prevention at elevated windows, making it suitable where the opening requires both tested security performance and protection against falls.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chalmers Security Installations supplied and installed a Prowler Proof external screen to a spare bedroom sash-style window that had not been able to be opened due to its 3rd level location with nothing underneath. CSI also supplied and installed a Prowler Proof hinged screen to the twin window in that room that does have an accessible roof. The complication for the most recent screen was needing to align with a major building repaint when scaffolding would be available. Stephen and Jennifer were extremely accommodating and patient and had the screen ready and able to get Chris (installer) to fit within a small time gap. I should add this was a minor piece of work from their perspective and they were responsive and flexible to get the job done. The increase in air flow is very noticeable and I don't have to worry about birds and other wildlife visiting that way.
